S1/2 Science
This water themed day encouraged S1 to explore the properties and use of water and its importance in sustaining life.
Our pupils watched the explosive ‘Water Show’ and got rather wet in the process.
They were also given the opportunity to meet experts working in the field and find out more about the types of job they do and how they help people in developing countries to access clean water.
We also visited the science mall which now has 3 floors of exciting interactive displays.
Some boys & girls tried on virtual space suits, found out what it’s like to be an arctic explorer or a paramedic in ‘My World of Work Live’
On the Body works floor, they investigated the role of the snot barrier, burned some energy in the giant hamster wheel, perform a virtual autopsy and danced at the DNA disco.
